Formula One stars Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg dropped in on Germany's Euro 2012 preparations on Wednesday.
The two Mercedes drivers visited their countrymen in Tourrettes, France, ahead of the tournament in Poland and Ukraine.
Germany have been grouped with the Netherlands, Denmark and Portugal at Euro 2012, which kicks off in June.
The three-time European champions will take on Switzerland in a friendly in Basel on Saturday as part of their preparations.
Germany coach Joachim Loew said the team would travel to the Monaco Grand Prix to support the Formula One duo on Sunday.
"We have worked very hard over the last few days and so it's nice when other great sportsmen come to visit," Loew said.
"We know each other well. Michael is one of the world's greatest sportsmen.
"On Sunday we are going to Monaco and we are all looking forward to it, I have the feeling more so than the game in Basel."
Schumacher, who has only finished two of the opening five races of the Formula One season, said he expected Mercedes to be successful later in the campaign.
"I am very optimistic this year when you bear in mind where we started last year. We have a car which allows us to think about race victories," he said.
"We are not talking about winning the championship, but we can expect some wins when everything is working well because of the unpredictable nature of this season."
