PERTH Glory's Celtic clash is now hanging in the balance after Newcastle Jets backed out of the second half of the Scottish giants' Australian tour in July, the club has revealed.
Glory owner Tony Sage insisted the club still wanted to play the July 2 friendly at nib Stadium but now needed to find another club to play them too.
"Unfortunately we heard some bad news yesterday," Sage said. "Nathan Tinkler of the Newcastle Jets pulled out for non-football reasons.
"Celtic will only come out if they've got two games. We won't be able to have two games in Perth, so we're seeking one of the other A-League clubs to play.
"Everything was going to be announced in the next 10 days but unfortunately Newcastle had to pull out."
