Perth Glory defender Shane Lowry says his side's 1-0 loss to Central Coast on Sunday was "tough to take" after a strong defensive display.
Blake Powell scored the game's only goal on 78 minutes after brilliant lead-up play from Daniel De Silva.
The defeat leaves Glory outside the top six, with the Mariners jump up to fourth.
"It's frustrating because I actually thought we defended quite well," Lowry told Fox Sports.
"Rocket (Liam Reddy) had one save in the first half but I think we minimised the chances against.
"I'm disappointed to be honest with you. We were out on our feet and stretched a bit at the end.
"That's the way football goes."
Glory can look forward to home games against Newcastle Jets and Wellington Phoenix in the next fortnight.
"It's still disappoitning to lose the game," Lowry said.
"We said at half-time to try and keep it 0-0 for as long as we can.
"We've know we've got a lot of injuries now. It's a tough one to take but it's part of football.
"We'll go back, look at the video, dust ourselves down, we've got two home games now, we'll look forward to that."
