PERTH Glory have sealed the deal to bring Mile Sterjovski to Members Equity Stadium as their marquee and will unveil him in Sydney tomorrow.
The press conference in the city's Hilton Hotel will end months of speculation and negotiation to bring the Socceroo hero - who scored aganst Bahrain last night - back to Australia.
Sterj, 30, has been released by Derby County after a disastrous season with the Championship side which saw him barely get any gametime for the club, threatening his spot in the Socceroos side and a place at the World Cup.
He has previously played in France, Switzerland and Turkey before the ill-fated move to England.
Now though he will be aiming to rebuild his career at Perth with coach Dave Mitchell's revitalised side. Glory have already signed current Socceroo Jacob Burns, while former Derby defender Andy Todd has also joined the club.
Perth are also interested in Socceroo defender Chris Coyne, who is keen to join his brother Jamie at the club.
Sterj's signing is a landmark deal for the A-League, ranking alongside Jason Culina's return from Europe to join Gold Coast United and a yardstick of Glory's renewed ambition for next season.
Full details of the deal are expected to be revealed at the 9.15am unveiling tomorrow.
