PERTH Glory striker Billy Mehmet has had his automatic suspension following Saturday's red card wiped and is available to face Brisbane Roar on Wednesday.
The Irish striker, who had scored early in Perth's 1-1 draw with Newcastle Jets on Saturday, was sent off by referee Strebre Dilevski in the first-half for a two-footed challenge on Tiago Calvano.
However, Glory moved quickly to get Mehmet cleared, appealing the automatic ban with Football Federation Australia.
The FFA reviewed the footage of the challenge and have agreed to clear Mehmet, making him available to face Brisbane at nib Stadium on Wednesday.
Following the draw, Glory coach Ian Ferguson had fumed with another refereeing decision which left his side short a man.
"In the last four games now it's cost us dearly," Ferguson said. "We keep talking about the same things with referees and red cards and send offs ... these decisions are hurting us."
Glory chief executive Paul Kelly had told The West Australian on Sunday that he believed "common sense had to prevail" in the matter.
