Central Coast Mariners defender Antony Golec has suffered a suspected fractured tibia after an ugly collision with Melbourne Victory goalkeeper Lawrence Thomas in Sunday's 5-2 loss.
The 27-year-old defender went down in the 34th minute and was stretchered after a seven-minute delay.
Central Coast are yet to confirm the extent of the injury, but Fox Sports reported that the club doctor indicated it was a fractured tibia.
Golec was rushed to hospital by ambulance during the match and is likely to be ruled out of the remainder of the season.
The defender has been a regular for the Mariners this term, making 22 appearances this campaign.
