KINGSLEY Njoku scored a header in added time to give Gombak United a 1-0 win over Young Lions and move his side to the top of the S.League.
After an uneventful first half Gombak found Young Lions goalkeeper Jasper Chan in inspired form in the second period.
But Njoku, who only returned to the side this week, finally made the breakthrough with 90 seconds of added time remaining when he converted a free header from Agu Casmir's cross.
Just 15 minutes earlier Casmir had seen Chan pull off an incredible double save to deny him the winning goal as Gombak looked to have missed their chance to pass Singapore Armed Forces at the top of the standings.
In the night's other game Oh Ddog Yi was the match winner as DPMM FC overcame bottom side Balestier Khalsa 1-0.
Both side's had chances to take the lead in an open encounter, but Ddog Yi bagged the vital goal in the 35th minute with a shot from outside the area which maintains his side's unbeaten start to the season and keeps them in third place, one point behind SAP who have a game in hand on both DPMM and Gombak.
