Brentford hit the front courtesy of a Clayton Donaldson goal before the half-time interval but Hanson's equaliser with 20 minutes remaining clinched a 1-1 draw for the home team at Coral Windows Stadium.

The visitors, who are placed fifth in League One, opened the scoring in the 42nd minute when Donaldson pounced on a mistake from Australian debutant Curtis Good.

Good, on loan from Premier League club Newcastle United, went to make a tackle but he failed to clear and the ball made its way to Donaldson, who scored his third goal in as many games.

Brentford went into the break with a 1-0 lead and they almost doubled their advantage seven minutes into the second half, however goalkeeper Matt Duke denied Donaldson a brace.

Bradford needed a spark and they found it when manager Phil Parkinson introduced fresh legs.

Uwe Rosler's men failed to clear a cross from substitute Will Atkinson and Hanson was on hand to tuck away the rebound in the 70th minute.

The hosts then almost stole victory but leading goal scorer Nahki Wells saw his shot hit the post, meaning Brentford remains undefeated in eight league and cup fixtures.
