Adelaide United hero Craig Goodwin has signed for Saudi Arabian-side Al Wehda, according to the Middle East club.
The Mecca-based club this morning tweeted overnight that they had finalised the deal, sealing the goalscoring winger on a two year deal.
They are understood to have paid an undisclosed fee for Goodwin after the 27 year old's exhilarating form lit up the A-League last season, especially in the first half of the campaign.
Goodwin's second stint at the Reds saw him find the net 10 times in 29 games with a string of assists to add to his tally and was the main attacking weapon for Adelaide under former coach Marco Kurz.
The fringe Socceroo is battling for a place back in the green and gold after missing out on the World Cup in 2018 and won a start in last month's friendly against Korea under Graham Arnold.
Adelaide had tried to tempt him to stay in Australia with the skipper's armband but the lure of petrodollars has apparently proved too great.
