Spurs have faltered recently in their bid to qualify for the Champions League and currently sit fifth, four points behind Manchester City who occupy the final qualification spot.

Liverpool have also closed to within three points of Harry Redknapp's side, albeit having played a game more.

"We want to be in fourth," Huddlestone said. "We don't want to be hanging on for fifth position. We have to look up and we want to finish where we were last season.

"Once you have had a taste of the Champions League, you want more. Maybe we're getting a bit greedy but we have shown that we can compete with the best in the competition, so to not be in it next year would be very disappointing."

Much of the action on Saturday features teams in or around the relegation zone.

Wigan are third from bottom with Blackpool just outside the drop zone because of the narrowest of goal differences.

The Latics host Everton and manager Roberto Martinez said: "If we win the next 12 points we will be safe and that is down to the good work we have done this season.

"We are not a team who are in a real need of other teams doing us favours.

"We are in a position where we need to get points and finish the season really strong. That is what we are going to focus on."

Blackpool host Stoke while Blackburn, one point above the drop zone, entertain Bolton.

West Brom, who are all but safe, host Aston Villa while Fulham visit Sunderland.

Sunday sees Manchester United visit Arsenal while neighbours City will look to consolidate their Champions League spot when they host West Ham.

Manager Roberto Mancini has spoken of his wish to build a lasting legacy at Eastlands.

City are on course for a place in the Champions League for the first time and face Stoke in the FA Cup final at Wembley with the chance to end a 35-year wait for a major trophy.

However, if City fail to reach any of those targets the club's ambitious owners may feel compelled to act and bring in a new man.

Mancini would be devastated if that happened and said: "After all the hard work during the first year and a half to build the basics I would be very disappointed to leave and for someone else to take it on."

Newcastle travel to face Liverpool - with former striker Andy Carroll hoping to be fit to play - while a vitally important game at the foot of the table sees bottom side Wolves travel to Birmingham who are still not out of trouble themselves.
