EUROROOS WRAP: Socceroos defender Craig Moore saw his Greek Cup hopes evaporate after Kavala were knocked out 4-2 on aggregate by Aris in the semi-finals.
After the first match in Thessaloniki had ended a 3-1 win for Aris, Kavala knew they needed goals at home.
But the visitors took the lead in Kavala through Sergio Koke late in the first-half.
Kavala boss Aad de Mos then decided to make attacking changes at the break, replacing Moore who had started in defence.
Nevertheless, the hosts couldn't get the goals they needed, only managing an equaliser through Serge Die and the game ended 1-1.
Aris will now face either Panathinaikos or PAS Giannina in the Greek Cup final.
Elsewhere in European cup action overnight, Mile Jedinak put in a full shift for Antalyaspor as they slumped to a 2-0 first-leg away loss at Trabzonspor in Turkey's Kupasi.
The return leg will be played in Antalya in mid-April, with the winner of the tie to play either Fenerbahce or Manisaspor in the final.
