Striker Roque Santa Cruz has been ruled out of Saturday's trip with a calf injury.

The Paraguayan was forced out of Wednesday night's 3-2 defeat at Aston Villa after feeling the injury during the warm-up.

A scan undertaken yesterday has shown that Santa Cruz has a grade one calf tear and could be out for up to two weeks.

Stephen Warnock suffered concussion during the defeat at Villa, after scoring the opening goal, and is another major doubt, but defender Chris Samba, who missed the previous game against Middlesbrough with an ankle injury, came through Wednesday's match without any problems and should start.
