SOCCEROOS star Vince Grella was threatened at knifepoint by masked intruders on a raid at his home, according to a press report.
The Sun newspaper claims four masked men threatened Grella with a knife, demanded jewellery and watches before making their getaway in the midfielder's BMW after taking his keys.
Property taken was thought to be worth around $100,000.
Neither Grella's wife or children were at home at the time of the raid.
Such incidents have become increasingly common in the north west of England with players from Liverpool, Everton and Manchester United having all been targeted by criminals.
Liverpool have had 10 players suffer at the hands of intruders or thieves including skipper Steven Gerrard.
Despite the ordeal Grella has been named in Blackburn's squad for this weekend's Premier League clash.
