Besart Berisha pounced on a defensive error only to shoot narrowly wide, along with Ben Halloran who failed to hit the target.

In the second half, there were fewer goalscoring opportunities although Jets keeper Mark Birighitti did well to deny Matt Jurman's powerful header on the hour mark.

Berisha had the best of the chances for Brisbane to draw level late on, but Birighitti kept him at bay, particularly with one spectacular save.
