Jedinak has been a key influence in the second-half of the season for Villa who will finish midtable after they had some relegation concerns earlier in the campaign.

The Villans have little to play for in their final two games of the season and boss Steve Bruce said Jedinak won’t be risked after battling injury in recent weeks.

“Big Mile is the only one with a knock,” Bruce said.

“He carried it for a month or so. I’d think Saturday would be too early for him.

“We’ll see how he is for Brighton (in Villa’s final game on May 7).”

The fact Jedinak has been carrying the injury for a month may concern Australia boss Ange Postecoglou but he should be available for the Socceroos’ next game.

Australia are next in action against Saudi Arabia in 2018 World Cup qualifying on June 8 in Adelaide.
