Los Blancos fell four points shy of their Italian rivals in Group H thanks to a goal in each half from Juve captain Alessandro Del Piero.

The result also extended the Spanish champions' poor run of only one win in their past five games, a string of results which included an embarrassing 3-2 defeat to third-flight side Real Union in the Copa del Rey.

Guti, who gave the ball away to Del Piero in the build up to the opening goal, insists the entire team have to accept responsibility for the results and work together to improve them.

"It was a tough result for us. Now we need to reflect. We know we're all to blame," he said.

"We're worried about not having won but we're all grown-ups and we have to act as a team. We work hard and have a lot of heart, and we need to show that now."

The 32-year-old also revealed there was growing concern among the players regarding the poor results of late, and admitted the squad was in need of a "morale boost".

He said: "The feeling in the dressing room is one of worry. When you're not winning things always become worrying, even more so when you're trying to do something well and it isn't coming off.

"The team needs a morale boost as soon as possible. Between us all we have to move forward and we have to try to be a team on and off the pitch. "

Coach Bernd Schuster meanwhile felt that his side were only lacking "small details" and backed his players to find their form again.

"Some details were lacking, but tactically we were phenomenal because it was difficult to create chances," he said.

"We'll look for solutions and with the quality that we have we'll find them, but we were lacking small details."
