Gyeongnam were heading for a 1-0 win thanks to a Lee Yong-rae strike midway through the second half only for Kim Hyung-pil to earn the visitors a 1-1 draw.

"We fought well," said Gyeongnam caretaker coach Kim Kwi-hwa after the match. "We were on track for the win only to give a goal away at the end of the match but we are still looking good."

Meanwhile, Jeju United moved into second above Jeonbuk Motors following a 1-0 win at home to Busan I'Park.

Lee Hyun-ho headed home the only goal of the game at the halfway point of the second period after good work from United's Brazilian star Neko.

"After conceding four at Chunnam last week it was important to win this," Jeju coach Park Kyung-hoon said. "We have bounced back well and we need to keep going."

FC Seoul went third thanks to a hard-fought 2-1 win over struggling Gangwon FC.

Choi Tae-wook grabbed his first goal for the club following his move from Jeonbuk in July, firing home from close range after the Gangwon defence failed to deal with a Jong Jo-gook cross.

Gangwon soon equalised but Jong grabbed the winner after 66 minutes.

Finally, Asian Champions League quarter-finalists Suwon Bluewings made it five wins out of six by coming from behind to defeat Daegu FC 2-1 with former West Brom midfielder Kim Do-heon firing home the decisive goal with 25 minutes remaining.
