HAMBURG have announced that they will be staging a pre-season friendly match against Chelsea on August 4.
The game will be Hamburg's last major warm-up game ahead of the 2010/11 season and will give new coach Armin Veh the opportunity to put his side to the test against the English double winners.
Hamburg commence pre-season training on June 28 and have organised two training camps, the first in Sylt and the second in Austria, during which they will play a friendly match against 1860 Munich.
They return to Germany to take part in the Liga Total Cup, where they will face Schalke in Gelsenkirchen on July 31 with a further game against either Bayern Munich or Cologne a day later before welcoming Chelsea to the HSV-Arena.
