SEOUL scored twice in the final minutes to beat Seongnam Ilhwa 3-2 and return to the summit of the K-League table despite Aussie Brendan Hamill's first goal in Korea.
Heading into the match, Seoul were trailing Jeonbuk Motors by a solitary point after their 3-3 draw at Jeju United on July 28 but a brace from K-League leading goalscorer Dejan Damjanovic inspired victory.
Damjanovic got the visitors off to a perfect start with his 13th-minute goal and Seoul would end the half a goal to the good.
However, their lead lasted just 12 minutes into the second half following an equaliser from Australian defender Brendan Hamill, as he ghosted into the box and headed home Javier Reina's cross.
Yoon Bit-Garam put Seongnam ahead in the 70th minute but with top spot on the line, Seoul rallied to snatch all three points thanks to stoppage-time goals from Mauricio Molina and Damjanovic.
Seoul now top the division by a point after Jeonbuk played out a goalless draw at Busan I'Park.
Elsewhere on Saturday, the fourth-placed Suwon Bluewings cruised to a 3-1 victory at home to lowly Sangju Sangmu.
A brace from Dzenan Radoncic and a 79th-minute goal from Seo Jung-Jin ended Suwon's run of two games without a win.
Radoncic scored the first of his two goals eight minutes into the second half before Seo made it 2-0 with 11 minutes left.
The result was put beyond doubt seven minutes later through the ever present Radoncic, while Bang Dae-Jong managed a consolation goal in the dying moments.
Meanwhile, Gwangju extended Jeju United's winless run to five games following a 2-0 triumph at the Jeju World Cup Stadium.
