SOCCEROO Mark Bresciano is in talks with West Ham and Glasgow Rangers about a move to the UK - but his boss at Palermo now wants to hold onto him
Bresc only featured a sporadically off the bench last season and looked certain to move on in the transfer window after the frustrating previous year.
Now though Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini insists he wants to hang onto the star to continue his career in the Serie A.
And although he admitted to be in talks with his the UK clubs, he categoricaly ruled out any interest from Italian rivals Roma.
“Roma have never asked for Bresciano,” Zamparini told Il Romanista.
“The Giallorossi directors have never called me about him and, to be honest, I don’t think they will.
“There are currently negotiations with West Ham and Glasgow Rangers, but I am hoping he stays. He is a player who makes a difference.
"We value the player at around €7m and last year I rejected an €8m bid for him.”
Zamparini also dismissed any chance of a loan move for the 'Roo. He added: “A loan move? I will exclude such a possibility."
