PAUL Hartley is hoping to enjoy further success with Celtic in 2009 after declaring 2008 a triumph for the Scottish champions.
The midfielder picked up another winners' medal when the Hoops pipped Rangers to the Clydesdale Bank Premier League title on the final day of last season and now look on course to clinch a fourth successive championship this term.
Celtic ended the year on a high with a 1-0 victory in the second Old Firm derby of the campaign, which sees them head into this weekend's SPL clash against Dundee United with a seven-point advantage at the summit.
"It's been a very good year for me," the 32-year-old told the Celtic View, as he reflected on the last 12 months.
"I've played a lot of games, I don't know how many when you add in the Scotland matches, but it's been enjoyable.
"There have been a lot of highs and winning the league was incredible. It was the last game of the season and an unbelievable way to finish the season.
"That was an emotional night for all of us.
"We've had a lot of success and long may it continue. I'm enjoying every minute of being a Celtic player and I'm determined to savour all the big occasions.
"Games like Saturday's at Ibrox make all the hard work worthwhile."
Meanwhile, Lukasz Zaluska's impending transfer to Celtic may now be public knowledge, but he will not give that a second thought ahead of Dundee United's trip to Parkhead, according to defender Sean Dillon.
The Polish goalkeeper served notice of his intent to swap Tayside for Glasgow's east end a fortnight ago, with Gordon Strachan confirming the pre-contract arrangement last week.
Inevitably, the fixture list has thrown up a meeting between United and Celtic this weekend and manager Craig Levein will select Zaluska in goal for the trip to Parkhead.
The 26-year-old has already starred against Hearts and Falkirk since the news of his move broke and kept two clean sheets on those occasions so Dillon, who is currently in talks about his own future, insists Zaluska will handle the occasion without a problem.
He said: "Lukasz knows he has a job to do so it won't be a problem on Saturday.
"He has been training well, no different to usual, and he will be his normal self at Parkhead.
"I don't see any worries at all on that score. He has shown this season how good a 'keeper he is; he has pulled off some really good saves.
"We know we can rely on him, even if one of us at the back makes a mistake and there has been a few times he has dug me out of a hole."
