The Belgium international said on Tuesday he would play in Manchester next season, without revealing whether he would be joining City or United.

However, the 21-year-old has now hinted Chelsea's Champions League triumph on Saturday is making him reconsider his options.

"They're through to the Champions League automatically so they'll be there next year. It's important for me to play in that competition," he said after scoring a hat-trick in his team's 4-1 win over Nancy in Ligue 1 on Sunday.

"Chelsea are a great team with great players. So, of course, it's a possibility."

Earlier in the week, Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri said his side had the edge over their cross-town rivals in the race for Hazard.

Hazard, who is hopeful of making a decision by the end of the month, said he was still unsure about where he wanted to move.

"I haven't made my mind up yet. I don't want to come back to this because I've been over it a few times, but I still haven't done anything," he said.

"As I said, as long as I've not signed anything, nothing is concluded. So for the time being I'm still a Lille man."

The creative midfielder, who was on Monday named Ligue 1's player of the season for the second year in a row, scored 21 goals in all competitions in 2011/12.
