Adelaide United striker Henrique will travel to former club Brisbane Roar as the teams lock horns this weekend.
The Slippery Fish returned to action in Round 8 of the A-League after accumulating an MCL injury against Melbourne Victory in late October.
He has so far scored three goals in his five appearances for the Reds including the brace in the 2-0 win over Wellington Phoenix on the weekend.
And as the Reds look to build on their first win of the season, Henrique will be travelling to his old stamping ground Suncorp Stadium for the first time since leaving Roar where he was a crowd favourite.
“The game isn’t Brisbane against Henrique, it’s Brisbane v Adelaide,” Henrique said.
“I don’t know (how the fans will respond), what the feelings are over there… It will be a weird experience of course, I played there for a long time, but I don’t know what it’ll feel like, but I’ll see.
“I’m really happy for the goals (against Phoenix) and also for the win. That’s the most important thing, I’ll try to replicate it, but I don’t mind if other teammates score goals also, so I’m happy.”
Sergio Cirio is still unavailable with a knee injury for United, but the club is boosted by the return of coach Guillermo Amor who has served a touchline ban.
Henrique stressed the rapport established at Adelaide and felt the team chemistry was high.
“It’s not hard to play with good players and we’ve been training for quite a while now and we know each other,” he said.
“When we have our coach Amor back on the bench, he can see things, talk to us and it’ll make a big difference.
“I came here to work hard, establish myself as a starting player and I’ll continue doing that.”
