Sporting Kansas City players dominated the list with four players in the 2012 team - Jimmy Nielsen, Matt Besler, Aurelien Collin and Graham Zusi.
LA Galaxy and USA star Landon Donovan was named for a joint-record sixth time, while San Jose Earthquakes striker Chris Wondolowski also made the prestigious cut.
The 4-3-3 formation also included San Jose defender Victor Bernardez, Seattle Sounders winger Osvaldo Alonso and DC United midfielder Chris Pontius.
