The former Arsenal star spent one season with the Swede at Barcelona, and has lauded his ability to change matches with natural ability.

"Ibrahimovic is an extraordinary player," Henry told L'Equipe.

"He is a great player, we look at matches to see what kind of players (are involved) and you know that something is going to happen when he gets the ball.

"I played with him, I appreciate it. He is a very good guy, contrary to what people may think."

Henry also feels that David Beckham's arrival in Ligue 1, along with the host of stars PSG have signed in recent months, will help to improve the competition's profile.

"I saw Beckham's debut. It's good for the French championship. Everyone talks about it. Now, if you go to any website, the first thing you see is the French championship."

Carlo Ancelotti's PSG play Marseille in Coupe de France on Wednesday, with Beckham set to make his first start for the capital club.
