New Barcelona striker Thierry Henry is champing at the bit for a return to action after spending months sidelined with injury.
Henry, who ended an eight-year spell with Arsenal this summer when he signed for Barca, has not played since tearing stomach and groin muscles during the Gunners' Champions League clash with PSV Eindhoven in March.
The France international began light training with Barca last week and while the 29-year-old admits it may take a while for him to get back to full fitness, he cannot wait to show his new fans what he can do.
"I'm really looking forward to it all getting started," the £16.1million signing said.
"I haven't trained for some time. I felt good. I hope I've finally recovered (from the injury).
"I hadn't done anything for four months so you have to remember that I have to take it easy. I'll need a bit more time than the rest because I've been sidelined for longer.
"After four months without a game, I'll have to get back into training bit by bit so that I can be fit as soon as possible."
Henry, who has penned a four-year deal with Barca, netted 226 goals in 364 appearances for Arsenal to become the club's record goalscorer.
His arrival at the Nou Camp will give Barca coach Frank Rijkaard further attacking options in a squad which is already heavily blessed in that department.
But while the likes of Henry, Samuel Eto'o, Ronaldinho, Lionel Messi and Deco should ensure Barca are not short of goals next season, the Catalan giants have also been busy strengthening their defence as well.
Left-back Eric Abidal and holding midfielder Yaya Toure were both unveiled soon after Henry, while highly-rated Argentina defender Gabriel Milito completed his switch to Barca on Thursday - much to Henry's delight.
"He (Milito) is one of the best central defenders in the world - I think we have recruited one of the best left-backs (Abidal) and one of the best central defenders in the world," Henry said on www.fcbarcelona.com.
"Then here's (Carles) Puyol, (Lilian) Thuram, Oleguer (Presas) - we'll also help them defend when it's necessary."
Milito, who has been on Copa America duty with his country, finalised his move from Zaragoza on Thursday after passing a medical and then being presented to supporters and media at the Nou Camp.
The 26-year-old has signed a four-year contract with the club, and he is determined to make the most of the chance.
"I hope to be at the standard demanded by Barca, and pay back the confidence people have in me," said Milito, who is ready to fight for a first-team berth with the likes of Puyol and Thuram.
"I've come to be part of the squad and bring the best of me," he added.
"Obviously there are great players here and a lot of competition but that's good for the team and I'm here to be useful to the team. In the end it's the manager who decides."
