Australia are winless after their first two games in Group F, but the Canberra United forward believes it will all come good if they make it to the knockout stage.

The Matildas looked strong in both games against Canada (2-0) and Germany (2-2) but they now need a win against Zimbabwe in Salvador or face flying home.

“We’ve got it all in our backpack, we’re just waiting for the bigger games to come,” Heyman said casually.

“We’re not going home without that medal, so we’re going to put everything into it. We’re just making sure we’re feeling good and fresh for the game tomorrow.

“All we have to do is get this win and it doesn’t matter from the next round on, so as long as we make it through then we’re all good. So yeah - plenty of stuff in the backpack.”

After the Matildas were on the verge of defeating Germany with just three minutes remaining, Heyman, 28, was looking to transfer that form to the crunch game against Zimbabwe at the Fonte Nova Arena in Salvador.

“It’s nice knowing we’re in the top 10 and when we come up against a second ranked Germany, we can play good football against them," she said

"It’s nice to give us that confidence and belief, so we know we can be here and come away with the wins.

“Everyone seems pretty positive, it’s never easy coming off a draw, but just because we performed better - can I say we performed better than Germany? - I think we gave it our all and to not come away with a win is disappointing.

“We’re feeling very confident and positive with our game tomorrow and I think it’ll be fun.”
