The 20-man squad includes 20-year old Spartak Moscow defender Roman Shishkin, as well as his clubmate Dmitri Torbinsky and Zenit St Petersburg midfielder Igor Denisov, both 22.

There is also a first call-up for sprightly Amkar Perm striker Yevgeni Savin, also 22.

In-form Sevilla striker Aleksandr Kerzhakov earns a recall, but at the expense of his replacement at Zenit, Pavel Pogrebniak, who is left out.

CSKA Moscow defender Vasili Berezutsky and Spartak striker Roman Pavluchenko both miss out through injury.
