Chelsea owner Abramovich has signed Luiz Felipe Scolari as his new manager at Stamford Bridge but focus switches back to his beloved national team when they try to get off the mark in Group D on Saturday.

Greece played five in defence when they lost to Sweden in their opener and despite promising to attack, Hiddink is expecting negative tactics from Otto Rehhagel's side when they clash in Salzburg.

"They will play their own way and we have to deal with that," he said.

"Normally they keep a lot of people in the defensive line and it's difficult to break through that wall.

"We're going to have to be very smart and try not to walk into the traps they set.

"I personally think that, as European champions, they should take more initiative but, okay, that's their way of playing and we'll have to deal with it.

"They have a lot of experience in tournament football and we, as underdogs, are looking forward to playing them."

Hiddink still has playmaker Andrei Arshavin suspended as they look to bounce back from their 4-1 defeat to Spain on Tuesday.

"We took our wallets out of our pockets and gave them to the Spanish team," Hiddink said.

"We need more experience and to learn very quickly. For most of the players it's their first appearance in a major tournament."

With both sides yet to get off the mark in the tournament, there is plenty at stake Stadion Wals-Siezenheim, including a chance for Greece to answer their critics after their defeat to Sweden.

Defender Vassilis Torosidis felt some of the reaction was unwarranted.

He said: "It's not fair to be criticised so harshly.

"This side has achieved things that will never be forgotten. Against Sweden we didn't perform well, but we must stick together and find the strength to get through our next two very difficult games. We can only promise to give our best. The key thing is not to let our heads drop."

Former Rangers defender Sotiris Kyrgiakos added: "We didn't mean to play defensively against Sweden, but that's how it turned out. The Swedes had done their homework and didn't give us any space.

"We lost a battle, not the war. We don't need to answer to anyone. We have to win on Saturday and then qualify for the quarter-finals. We know the drill."
