The 61-year-old put pen to paper on his new two-year deal on Monday evening at the team hotel ahead of Wednesday's friendly international in Romania.

Russia, who finished second in their Euro 2008 qualifying group behind Croatia and ahead of England, will face Sweden, Spain and holders Greece in Group D at this summer's finals.
