Bayern Munich general manager Uli Hoeness has reiterated striker Lukas Podolski will not be leaving the club in January, unless they can find a suitable replacement.
Podolski has failed to settle in Bavaria after joining the current Bundesliga champions from Cologne in June 2006.
The 23-year-old recently admitted he is considering his future at the Allianz Arena but Hoeness is adamant he will not be going anywhere in the transfer window unless coach Jurgen Klinsmann can bring in a replacement.
"We are not even wasting any thoughts on Podolski leaving this winter," he told Munich's Tz newspaper.
"That is absolutely not an issue with us at present."
Hoeness went on to add, however, that stance may change if Bayern bolster their squad after Christmas with Zenit St Petersburg playmaker Andrei Arshavin the latest name to be linked with a move to Germany.
"We have always said that as long as we don't have any alternatives, we are not considering a transfer at all," added Hoeness.
"Right now, we don't have any alternatives."
Arshavin almost joined Tottenham in the summer and is still keen to quit Zenit, last season's UEFA Cup winners.
The Russia international told the Sport-Express newspaper: "I told the president four months ago that I don't want to stay in this team any more, but my words are unfortunately falling on deaf ears."
