AUSSIES ABROAD: Socceroo James Holland began his loan stint at Sparta Rotterdam in style overnight with a goal on debut in a 4-1 win over RBC Roosendaal in the Dutch Eerste Divisie.
Holland, who joined Sparta from AZ Alkmaar last week after failing to break into the first-team at the top flight club, netted after five minutes.
Lerin Duarte had already given Sparta a 1-0 lead in the first minute, before the 21-year-old Australian doubled their advantage firing into an empty net after Joey Godee's pass.
Holland went onto play the full game on his debut as Sparta cruised to a 4-1 win.
Elsewhere overnight, in England's League One, James Wesolowski started and played 89 minutes as Peterborough lost 2-1 at Colchester United.
In England's League Two, Shane Cansdell-Sherriff played a full game as Shrewsbury lost 1-0 at Bury.
