Goals from Joris Mathijsen and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar earned Oranje a 2-0 victory over Iceland on Saturday to lift them to the top of Group Nine.

The table reads well for Dutch fans as Van Marwijk's men have two wins from two while they also hold a two-point advantage - and a game in hand - over nearest challengers Scotland.

But the coach remains realistic with another six qualifiers still to be played.

"We are not there by a long way," Van Marwijk said.

"We can talk about a good start, that is certain. But for the time being I don't want to look any further than the next match.

"We played well in patches against Iceland. We knew Iceland would defend in numbers. We waited patiently for our chances and they came. In that respect we did a good job."

Holland will be looking to extend their group lead when they face Norway in Oslo on Wednesday.

There are doubts over the fitness of Robin van Persie and John Heitinga for that match, although Nigel de Jong is definitely sidelined after limping out of the Iceland clash with a knee injury.

It was confirmed later on Sunday Heitinga will not make the trip to Oslo because of a knee injury.

Van Persie will however join the squad on Monday after recovering from hamstring troubles.
