ASTON Villa's new Australian signing Brett Holman has been passed fit to make his Premier League debut in Saturday's clash against West Ham.
The attacker was replaced at half-time in the Socceroos' 3-1 defeat to Scotland in midweek, after picking up a knock following a heavy challenge from Gary Caldwell.
However, Villa boss Paul Lambert revealed ahead of Saturday's game that Holman, who joined the club from AZ Alkmaar in the off-season, was fit and ready to make his debut.
"Brett is fine. It was a precaution he came off," Lambert told reporters. "Gabby (Agbonlahor), Marc (Albrighton) and Richard (Dunne) are still out but Brett is okay."
Meanwhile, Holman's Australian club team-mate Chris Herd has been fit enough to return to training after a thigh problem which forced him to miss the Socceroos camp.
