Sydney FC winger Filip Holosko has no doubts Sydney FC will be undefeated at the end of the season...and Danny Vukovic will be the key.
The Sky Blues remain unbeaten in the league heading into their round 12 clash against Adelaide United at Hindmarsh stadium tonight.
Ahead of their first of two games in the festive period which also includes a game against Brisbane Roar at home in four days, Holosko is adamant the Sky Blues will remain invincible until the season’s end.
“I don’t think, I believe,” he said. “We are (undefeated) in just 11 games now. There are 16 to go, this is a long time but I believe we go step by step and game to game.
“We are motivated for every game. When you win every game and you don’t lose you are more confident. We have 25 very good players and everyone wants to play and everyone works hard in training and this is making us better and better every week.”
While Holosko is full of self-belief that Sydney FC can avoid defeat this season, the Slovakian winger does not expect the task to be easy.
“It’s difficult for us we have tough games,” he said. “When I watched Perth and Newcastle, it was not the same Perth team that played us.
"Every team that play us want to beat us. Maybe they put in 50% more when they play against our team and this makes it more difficult for us.”
One player who Holosko said is key to extending Sydney’s unbeaten run is the Sky Blues shot stopper and arguably the in-form gloveman of the A-League, Danny Vukovic.
“He’s the best goalkeeper in this league,” he said. “He’s showed that to everyone in every game. He saves a lot of chances.
"We saw in the game against Perth, he made three nice saves. I believe when you have a good goalkeeper, you have maybe 10 or 15 points more for the team.”
