Victory will be looking to progress out of the Round of 16 in the FFA Cup against Leichhardt who are second on the table in NPL NSW.

Coach Kevin Muscat said before the final training session on Monday morning that it was undecided whether he would take Honda and Niedermeier.

However, FourFourTwo understands both will miss tomorrow night's clash while Nick Ansell, who is returning from a stint with Portuguese side Tondela, will be on the bench.

"Nick, Keisuke and George have trained well in the last week - not all of them will be with the team," Muscat said.

"We'll assess how they've pulled up throughout the week and make a final decision in relation  to travelling.

"They've been on a little bit of a different program. They've trained well and are all feeling fine."

Muscat said Honda was adapting well to the new environment.

"I think the biggest compliment I could pay him and the whole situation is it's been very normal," he said.

"We're working towards getting him into a position where he can play without risk."

Muscat was also wary that APIA could hurt the Big V if they let their guard down.

"We respect them and we've got a good understanding of what they're about," Muscat said. "They had an opportunity to win the league, but unfortunately for them, that didn't occur.

"We’ve got enough footage of them, they’re a dangerous team who’ve scored a great deal of goals this season. They’ve got some pace in the front third. We’ll go over there and respect the opponent like we normally do."
