Club officials insist manager Gordon Strachan has not taken such a step.

However Celtic tonight stressed that reports of the club putting the three players up for sale were "ill-informed".

Denmark midfielder Gravesen, 31, has been linked with Fulham and Sheffield United this summer, having struggled to justify his reputation since arriving from Real Madrid last August.

Polish striker Zurawski, 30, is no longer a regular starter in the team, but has been told he has a role to play despite speculation he could return on loan to former club Wisla Krakow.

Scotland frontman Miller, 27, has been linked with various Barclays Premier League clubs, including Manchester City and Derby.

Meanwhile former Hibernian forward Derek Riordan, 24, has been suggested as a target for several clubs, including Leicester and Sheffield Wednesday.

Although selling players who are unlikely to become first-team regulars this season would cut the wage bill, Celtic maintain they are happy with the depth of their squad, with the transfer window due to close on Friday.

Riordan scored twice for the Celtic reserves as they beat their Hearts counterparts 2-0 today, with Gravesen also in the line-up.
