FORMER Liverpool coach Gerard Houllier will be the keynote speaker at next month's FFA National Coaching Conference in Brisbane.
The 2010 FFA National Coaches Conference will be held over March 2-4 and will include an in-depth tactical analysis of the AFC Asia Cup qualifier between the Qantas Socceroos and Indonesia at Suncorp Stadium.
Former France coach Houllier, along with a host of speakers including Socceroos coach Pim Verbeek, will share their coaching insights through a series of presentations and practical sessions based on the FFA National Curriculum released last year.
"Receiving instruction from a coach with the international reputation of Gerard Houllier is a great privilege and opportunity for any developing or established coach," says FFA National Technical Director Han Berger.
"Mr Houllier comes with a wealth of expertise from managing teams in the best leagues in the world and has practical experience at all levels of the game."
He added: "Coaches at any level, from Hyundai A-League to local club coaches, will be delivered invaluable instruction from the experienced group of professionals presenting.
"FFA's new curriculum is the central theme of the coaches conference and with Gerard as the key speaker it will reflect on and highlight the similarities between the French curriculum and ours."
