Former Liverpool boss Gerard Houllier has pledged his immediate future to Lyon - and denies ever being in the frame for the Socceroos job. Now he plans to get his club back on track.
The French champions' latest Champions League failure - they were ousted by Roma at the last-16 stage - has seen manager Houllier's role come under scrutiny.
Houllier has been linked with a number of other posts recently, including that of coach of Australia.
But Houllier, who still retains the faith of Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas, has vowed to stay at the Stade Gerland and hopes to bring some long-awaited Champions League success to the club.
"Everything that is said about my future is phoney," he said. "Australia, etc, it is totally false. But that is part of the game.
"I am flattered that my name has been linked with Bayern Munich, with that of (Jose) Mourinho, (Arsene) Wenger and (Bernd) Schuster.
"But I am at Lyon. I am happy here, I am staying."
Lyon have struggled for form since the turn of the year and their latest blow came at home as Roma inflicted a 2-0 reverse this week.
Houllier said: "Currently we have an attitude problem. That is going to change. It is influencing our game.
"We were too nervous. We didn't master our nerves.
"There have been injuries, suspensions. A bit of doubt crept in after the victory in the cup at (amateur side) Laon then the matches against Bordeaux and Nice at home.
"I am not saying the best Lyon team would have beaten Roma but it would have been more up for it.
"I learnt a lot from the (Roma) match. The very highest level demands a behaviour and a mental, tactical attitude that we did not show against Roma.
"I am taking action about it. For some, it was not the first time."
