Zuvela made his A-League debut in 2017 but has recently been out of action with an ACL injury.

Ninkovic has spent the past five seasons with Sydney FC where he has won two A-League premierships, two championships, a Joe Marston Medal and the Johnny Warren Medal.

The 22-year-old says training with the supremely talented Ninkovic has helped him on his road to recovery.

"Sometimes after training Ninkovic pulls me aside and helps me with what I need to learn," he told FTBL.

"I obviously try to aspire to be like him because he is just one of the best players I've ever played with.

"I respect it so much because he doesn't have to pull me aside and help me out, he just does it through his own free will. He just wants to see me get better as a player, especially coming back from injury.

"He always tries to teach me to get better at my first touch because he says first touch is everything in the game. If you perfect that you can go really far."

A former Sydney United junior, Zuvela can play across the midfield but prefers the number 10 role, just like the ex-Serbian international.

"I'm happy anyway in the midfield but my favourite position is playing number 10," Zuvela said.

"Just to get forward more, it's more exciting."
