MLS club the San Jose Earthquakes have signed Darren Huckerby, according to a report on The Globe and Mail's website.
The forward, who played for Norwich until lapsing out of contract this summer, has agreed terms and will begin playing after the league's transfer window opens on Tuesday, it is claimed.
Toronto FC had the first option to sign Huckerby but the 32-year-old, who scored 34 goals in 162 games during his time at Carrow Road, expressed concern about playing on the artificial turf at BMO Field - the Canadians' home stadium.
