Holland striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar described his performance against Sweden as his best in international football after scoring twice in the 4-1 victory last night.
The Schalke star found the target in each half as Oranje dominated their opponents in Amsterdam.
Ibrahim Afellay also added a brace, with the win maintaining Holland's 100% record in Euro 2012 qualifying Group E.
And Huntelaar, who has already notched eight goals in qualifying, believes the team could not have played much better against the Scandinavians.
"This was a very good match. We put on a great show of football," he told AD Sportwereld.
"We were perfect and could have scored five or six goals. I think this was the best game I've ever played for Holland.
"There was a lot of space behind their defence. Our combination play was good and I could pick up balls left and right."
The win keeps Holland three points clear of nearest rivals Hungary in the standings, with Sweden a further three points behind.
They are now overwhelming favourites to win the group, although Huntelaar has warned the team there is still work to be done.
"We cannot crow about the fact we are so good," he said. "Otherwise everyone will be waiting for us to slip.
"However, if we can keep it up everything will work out well for us."
Defender Erik Pieters was happy to boast about their achievements, though.
"I thought Sweden would be better. It was surprising how much space we had," said the PSV Eindhoven star.
"We have such self-belief now and will win the group. We won all of our matches during World Cup qualifying and at the World Cup we only lost the final."
