Glory coach Kenny Lowe said Sydney would be devastated if they failed to win Saturday’s clash at Allianz Stadium, after a record-breaking campaign which has led to comparisons with the best-ever A-League sides.

Perth have clearly claimed underdogs status having been comfortably beaten in all three of their A-League encounters this season but Arnold said it had no effect on him and his players.

“I don’t read what they say,” Arnold said.

“When I talk about the mental aspect, we freshen the players brains every day around self-doubt.

“I know the boys don’t read it. We’re just confident in our own ability.

“We’re confident we’ll put in a great performance on Saturday night.”

The Sky Blues boss insisted his side would be mentally strong.

“We work on the mental aspect every day,” he added.

“It’s about performance and the one percenters. It’s about performing to the best of our ability.

“Mentally we have a mindset when we come in to training every day, we come in preparing to win the game.

“We expect to win on Saturday night. I know the players are expecting that and so am I.

“The boys are in a fantastic mental state. Physically we’re in top shape.

“At this moment we’ve got 22 players to choose from. Everyone is 100 per cent fit.

“The freshen-up has made them even more ready to go. I expect our best performance.”

Arnold also guaranteed Johnny Medal favourite Milos Ninkovic would start after shaking off an ankle worry.

“He was training individually since the end of last week and if we needed to push him to play last weekend he would’ve been fine,” Arnold said.

“He’s trained all week with the group. He did a physical session on Wednesday. He’ll 100 per cent play.”

Play between Sydney FC and Perth Glory commences at 7.50pm local time on Saturday night.
