Arnold released his squad for the Asian Cup this morning, which included Aaron Mooy, who was in doubt with a knee injury.

And the team excluded both Troisi and Tomi Juric, who were the heroes in the 2015 Asian Cup Final triumph over South Korea.

Troisi is competing with Mooy, Tom Rogic, Massimo Luongo and even Martin Boyle, Robbie Kruse and Mustafa Amini.

But the 30-year-old made it clear this afternoon Arnold should’ve picked him.

“In my opinion, even with Azza (Aaron Mooy) injured, I believe I should be there,” Troisi said.

“We've been training, so I haven't seen the squad. I haven't had any contact from anyone, which is disappointing because I've been involved for quite a long time now.

“I feel I've done quite a lot for Australian football so a bit of a phone call would have been nice.”

Was Arnie right to leave Troisi out?

Troisi has played seven games for Victory this season, scored one goal and has three assists to his name and the Socceroos snub has infuriated him, slamming Arnold for the decision.

“Unfortunately, it doesn't look like the squad has been picked on merit and picked on performance,” he said.

“Not just myself, but I think there's a couple of other boys that should feel very hard done by, but that's football and we move on.

“Football doesn't surprise me anymore. It is what it is. I think it's disappointing how things have been handled.”
