Internazionale forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic has warned his team-mates they cannot afford to get carried away by their stunning win over Roma at the Stadio Olimpico.
Inter sent out a strong message to their Scudetto rivals on Sunday with a 4-0 demolition of Roma, which lifted the Milan side to the top of the Serie A standings - two points clear of Udinese, Catania and Napoli.
"We wanted to win and we did everything to achieve that," said Sweden international Ibrahimovic, who scored twice in the game.
"We had the right mentality and this was an important win. But this is just one game, we are taking it one game at a time.
"We did well against Roma but now we have the Champions League and we hope to do well."
Inter will take on Anorthosis in Europe's elite club competition on Wednesday.
Jose Mourinho could barely contain his delight after what was their second success of the season against Roma.
The Nerazzurri also clinched the Italian Supercoppa on penalties against the capital club in August.
"I believe we have seen the best Inter of the season so far," Mourinho said.
"We played very well in the Italian Supercoppa but this time, we played well for the entire game.
"My team played intelligently and I have seen the players focused.
"I am happy for the three points and the four goals, but especially for the performance we gave."
Mourinho also had words of praise for double goalscorer Ibrahimovic.
"He is playing very well," said Mourinho. "He can pretty much cover all of the attacking positions and when he plays like that, Inter are in love with him."
