One-of-a-kind pairs of iconic match-worn boots are being auctioned off on April 25th via Julien’s Auctions, with the cleats having once belonged to such legendary names as David Beckham, Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and rising talent Kylian Mbappé.

The first pair listed is an adidas x David Beckham collaboration which featured in a 2009 MLS match between Kansas City Wizards and L.A Galaxy.

Beckham’s initials, DB, are embroidered on each boot along with his number, 23, and the names of his children, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz.

The boots worn by Messi himself when he struck his 500th career goal are also listed, with the match against Real Madrid at the Estadio Bernabeu in 2017 being immortalised within this signed pair.

The pair feature the Argentinian flag and the names and birth dates of his only children at the time, Thiago and Mateo. Opposite his sons, his wife’s nickname “Anto” appears next to the number 10, his own iconic number. A letter of authenticity accompanies the signed pair.

A man whose incredible fame has turned his initials and playing number into a brand of their own right, Cristiano Ronaldo’s match-worn Real Madrid signed debut boots, from an August 2009 fixture against Deportivo La Coruña, will also be auctioned off on April 25.

The Nike Mercurials have “CR” embroidered on the exterior of each boot.

France starlet Kylian Mbappé will have his boots from a 2017 international fixture up for sale as well, with the inner exterior of the left boot featuring the Franch flag accompanied by an “Mbappé” logo.

An additional piece of memorabilia included in the auction is Pele’s passport, valid from 1993-2003, which features his signature “Edson Arantes” and is expected to exchange hands for around $3000-$4000 USD (roughly equivalent to about $4,200 - $5,600 AUD).
