PAUL Ifill has pledged his future to Wellington Phoenix after labelling his time in the A-League as some of the happiest in his career, he told this week's Insider podcast.
Speaking to this week’s FourFourTwo Insider podcast in the wake of winning two FFT A-League awards, the forward expressed his delighted at life in Wellington and being part of the A-League.
“I never thought I’d be able to come out [to the A-League] and make such an impact so quickly,” said Ifill. “The league is really growing and it’s a good time to be part of the A-League.
“I’ve played 30 games in a season and not missed a game all year - that hasn’t happened for me in 10 years. I’ve not enjoyed my football this much for years and years.”
Elsewhere, the FFT pod crew discuss the week’s Champions League and ACL results, Fury 2.0, the new Melbourne Heart recruits and the state of play in the EPL, La Liga and Serie A.
