Fringe Socceroo Chris Ikonomidis has joined Western Sydney Wanderers on loan for the remainder of the 2017/18 A-League season.
Italian giants Lazio confirmed the move for the 22-year-old, who joins Wanderers until June 30.
The attacking midfielder/winger made only one first-team appearance for Lazio despite joining the club in 2013, with the move motivated to find regular game-time ahead of the 2018 World Cup.
He previously spent time on loan with Serie B club Salernitana and Danish Superliga outfit AGF.
The six-time Socceroo had reportedly been shipped around by Lazio in January, with Wanderers swooping for a deadline day move.
Ikonomidis hasn't represented Australia since June 2016 when he was a substitute in a 2-1 loss to Greece in Melbourne.
