Last weekend saw Balcatta upset 1-0 at home at the hands of Swan United despite promising victories over Floreat Athena and Perth SC in the past month.

The result saw Balcatta slip to fifth on the table after Stirling's big win over Western Knights.

They will be coming up against arguably the form side of the competition, ECU Joondalup, who are undefeated in six matches.

Syd Amphlett's men haven't lost since the nine-goal thriller against Perth SC in Round 4, where they were defeated 5-4.

Last week saw ECU come from behind twice to snatch a 2-2 draw against Floreat Athena. Joondalup sits seventh on the table with five draws next to its name, the highest of any team in the league.

Strikers Jamie Watt and Phil O'Callaghan have been in good form for ECU and will need to have an impact against the tight Balcatta defence marshalled by goalkeeper Bobson Koroma.

Two genuine finals contenders will clash at Macedonia Park this Sunday in Round 11's feature match with Stirling Lions hosting Perth SC.

The Lions jumped to fourth on the APB State Premier League table with a 2-1 win over 2009 Minor Premiers Western Knights.

Their opponents Perth bounced back from two winless weeks with a convincing 2-0 victory against Armadale in Round 10.

A win for Stirling would them right at the pointy end of the table, while Perth cannot afford to drop points after regaining top spot last week.

Lions striker Phil Arnold will be up against his former side and has been in superb form since coming to Macedonia Park this season, scoring a hat-trick against Mandurah City just a fortnight ago.

Stirling coach Paul Lincoln will hope to have Dean Evans and Ludovic Boi back in his starting 11 after returning from Hyundai A-League trials over east, while his counterpart Graham Normanton is hopeful of regaining some key stars that have been missing over the past few weeks.

Last week saw seven regulars missing for the reigning champions.

Catch the live broadcast on Heritage 107.3FM from 2.30pm with host Bob Figg and watch the match highlights on www.footballwest.tv from Monday afternoon.

In the other fixtures, Floreat Athena will host Inglewood United at E&D Litis Stadium, Armadale and Swan United will do battle at Alfred Skeet Oval, Sorrento will be at home to Mandurah City at Percy Doyle Reserve and Nash Field will be the venue for Western Knights versus Cockburn City.
