Iniesta has been at Barca since joining their youth team 13 years ago but he has recently been linked with a move to bitter rivals Real Madrid.

However, the 24-year-old claims a move to the Bernabeu is the last thing on his mind.

"I can't tell them not to talk about me," he said. "But, God willing, I will retire at Barca, that's my desire.

"Everyone is where they want to be, and what I want is to stay here."

Another player reportedly heading for the Nou Camp exit is goalkeeper Victor Valdes.

The 27-year-old's contract expires in the summer of 2010 but negotiations with the club over an extension have been at a standstill for several months and Iniesta hopes things will be resolved soon.

"All I can say about this is that I would like Victor to be with us a very long time and I think that is his desire as well as the club's," said the Spain international.

"As his team-mate and friend I can only want the best for him and I hope that this matter is sorted as soon as possible."

Iniesta had to pull out of Spain's World Cup qualifying double-header against Turkey after sustaining a thigh injury during his club's 6-0 Primera Liga defeat of Malaga.

However, the Euro 2008 winner is hopeful he can take some part in Barca's match against Valladolid.

"I'm feeling better and let's hope I can be there next Saturday," he said. "I hope to be 100% as soon as possible."
